THE MILLIONS OF POSTS, LIKES AND SHARES FROM DUTERTE FANS ARE FAKE!! WE HAVE ALL BEEN FOOLED! DUTERTE IS NOT ALL THAT POPULAR AS THEY WANT US TO BELIEVE.
This bombshell Rappler report, a must read masterpiece from Ms. Maria Ressa , will tell you the whole story. The four-part report is very comprehensive and very long which can fill a small booklet and if you have time to read it please do so but if not I will explain it to you in a very simple and concise manner here.
(Update July 26, 2017: A new info about Duterte hired troll army from Oxford University via Philstar:)
Most of the thousands, or even millions, ‘posts’, ‘likes’ and ‘shares’ you see from Duterte fans are actually manufactured by Duterte’s paid media warriors through social media manipulation. It first began in Davao city the moment Duterte announced his candidacy and continues up to this day. This is how it works. They started with a budget of 10 million pesos, with about 500 paid media warriors who crept into the social media, forming a network of fake accounts, friends and groups that branched out into almost million accounts & members, including overseas workers, and together they can generate millions of posts, likes and shares. It’s like Digong’s infamous matrix; the media warrior matrix starts not with one or two persons but with 500 people branching out into network of million people, so you can imagine how enormous their influence can be. Aside from this, they also use special computer program called BOT to generate thousands of instant replies per minute! so they can easily generate million replies. This is the reason – and I’m sure many of you have noticed this – that they all come up with SAME canned or scripted replies for most of the issues involving Duterte and his foes. Some of the favorite themes of their attacks are: bias, you don’t want change, and if you criticize EJK’s, they would chorus “someone should rape your daughter,” “how many people were raped by pushers,” “why not talk about those killed by drugs,” “mayaman kasi kayo,” (quoted directly from Rappler). One of the major objective of their propaganda is to create a Yellow Army scare – that the LP’s together with the so-called Yellowtards, Noytards were actually behind the systematic demolition job against the Duterte administration. Now you know why they all call you Noytards even if you are not. Here are some samples of their well-repeated template responses:

And, sometimes those replies are just machine or BOT generated, like those cellphone template messages. Of course those Duterte warriors chorus those same messages because they are paid to do so and reportedly each of them are paid 100th pesos per month. And by using a system of multiple fake accounts, a group of 3 operators can earn 5 million pesos per month! – the government media bureau has millions of pesos at its disposal for this purpose. They have systematically fooled the whole nation into believing that Duterte is so popular that millions of supporters are there to defend him (actually, millions of supporters who sounded like robots!). And not only us, they have even fooled their own so-called Dutards or Dutertards, turning them into puppets or parrots, making them unwittingly repeat those same messages over and over again everywhere on social media. The extent of influence of these paid media warriors are simply amazing. But thanks to Rappler, we have now been freed from it – now we know!
“But thanks to Rappler, we have now been freed from it – now we know!”
So when you are overwhelmed by Duterte’s social media lynch mob next time, despair not – you might have just been swarmed by computer programs – or at worst, paid media hit-men, the D.D.S. of the internet. This simply means that Duterte administration is just living under a facade of enormous popularity that, being false, can crumble anytime. Change is indeed coming, the change of administration?!
