Jinggoy Freed! The “I HATE CORRUPTION” President is Freeing all the Big-time Crooks while Wantonly Murdering the Poor, Small-timers

 

The Release of Jinggoy Estrada and the Hypocrisy of Duterte

“I hate corruption!” Duterte has just released another big-time crook, Jinggoy Estrada, adding to the number of big-time crooks freed or kept free under his administration. The first thing this corruption-hating president did was to release the mother of all crooks, Gloria M. Arroyo, who feigned sickness all throughout her detention, even claiming that she can’t hold a fork to eat, only to come out strong and healthy upon her release, which turned her into butt of jokes throughout the social media (I’m actually glad she’s healthy, I wish no ill-health to anyone).

Then the President exerted undue influence in the case of Janet Napoles, the P.D.A.F. scam queen, when he called for her acquittal in her illegal detention case, and like a magic, just like in the cases of G.M.A. and Jinggoy, what he wishes, the court obliges and so Janet Napoles was acquitted of the said case.

Have We Been Fooled?

We’ve all been fooled! I mean, the 16 million people who voted for Duterte. Little by little, all the lies and hypocrisy of this president is coming out into the light but are we enlightened? It is time for the 16 million people who voted for him to wake up before he destroys our country with his mad governance. Your president is a fake! He has promised everything good but did the exact opposite:

• He promised to eliminate drugs – but instead,
  1. he left most of the big-time drug lords untouched, sampling only very few of them just for a show, while wantonly murdering thousands of poor even before they were proven guilty;
• 
  2. the biggest smuggling of drugs happened under his administration – right under his nose! the 6.4 billion pesos shabu smuggling case – it was partially thwarted because the Chinese government alerted us, not because of Duterte’s anti-drug program:
• 
  3. covering up his son Paulo’s connection with the key figure of that 6.4 billion pesos drug smuggling case – Kenneth Dong who facilitated the release of those shabu’s.
• 
• He promised he would jet-ski to the occupied territories and plant our flag there – but instead he completely surrendered those territories to the Chinese, without a fight or even a word of complaint – giving them on a silver platter.
• He promised to end ENDO and labor contractualization – but with no sign of ENDO ending;
• He promised to stop mining – but ended up letting go from his cabinet the best anti-mining advocate, Gina Lopez. without even giving up a fight for her.
• He promised to sign the FOI bill – but instead, ended up hiding a vital information himself when he refused to give police records to the Human Rights Commission.
• He promised to build, build, build – but instead, it all turned into “talk, talk, talk” up to now while leaving the economy steadily declining, where it used to be steadily growing before his administration.

So ano na?

The only promises he kept were all unfavorable ones:

• Hero’s burial for Macoy;
• Release of GMA from detention;
• Filling Manila Bay with corpses, of course, not literally; and
• To destroy Senator Leila de Lima – whom his people framed up for him.

So to all the people who voted for Rodrigo Duterte, is this the president you really wanted? A protector of big-time criminals but abuser of us ordinary citizens, especially the defenseless poor? Almost everything he does spells out the word c-o-w-a-r-d. Think again, is this the President you want, a coward who’s fond of attacking ladies and priests, and going after small, defenseless people, while bowing down his head to the big and the mighty? In other countries, you never make such cowards a hero. It is still not too late to change your minds, my beloved kababayans, our country’s future could be in your hands. So please think carefully and act wisely for our country…
